Rather than using explorer.exe pathname, use the command start pathname. Here’s an example: start c:\documents. start e:\backup. Then you’ll get two windows. If you use explorer.exe instead of start, one opens in a window, then the second one immediately opens over the first, in the same window. Yeah, it’s that simple, though not obvious.
Mar 17, 2018 (Solved) ~ Internet Explorer spawning multiple processes I read something about Internet Explorer running multiple processes for different tabs, but I don't understand why it would do anything like this. Also, after I posted my first message I went away and left the computer for about 15 minutes, came back, and it had stopped doing it. Then, a little while ago it started up again. Microsoft edge keeps on opening with multiple tabs - "how Hi, Microsoft edge keeps on opening new tabs with - "how to get help in windows 10" . When I set my laptop to airplane mode, then "Get Started" - "Get Connected To The Internet" keeps on opening. If I try to minimise it or resize it, it pops back again. Jan 06, 2018 · In my settngs, I've set it to have "access to Internet Explorer." I have also changed some setting in another location, which offhand, I don't remember where/what that was But the point is, when I start my computer, a window opens, with IE!! First of all, I don't want a window to open at all, at startup, With IE or GC.
